Worst / Best IPL 4 2011 Commercials

IPL 4 is definitely the Indian Entertainment cum Paisa league. Sometime’s the heat is on in the match or when it’s going too smooth we also enjoy the “creative”  commercials that are aired during the IPL 4. If some of them are ridiculous few as awesome to the extent that we can repeatedly watch them.

Same way we have ZooZoo ad’s in IPL with Vodafone being creative beyond anyone expected. Several other commercials aired in IPL versions were cool too.

Coming to IPL 4 in 2011, it has been a mixed bag. Vodafone broke the tradition with their major ads coming in World cup instead of IPL. Docomo, Havells, MicroMax are up to their own marketing try to be smart but not exactly nearing the unanimous HIT that zoozoo’s were in IPL previously.

 Docomo Ranbir Talk IPL 4 Ad

This IPL ad stands out of Docomo one’s in IPL 4. Both ways 

If it’s irritating to see Background laughs even before Ranbir says or does something funny. And the whistles and cheers in the end as if he said something brilliant.

On the other hand  it was funny imitation by him of his father even though his.

So did you like the way Ranbir hyped up almost worth nothing Docomo’s family plan  ?   Did Ranbir managed to keep it simple or Silly ??

 Havell’s Wires –IPL 4 Ad

Havells Ads. Most of them are creative. And all of them exaggerated. Looks like the creative “juice” in Havells ad makers is going down. This was blatant repeat of Touching Mother Son Roti making ad. You may only like it if you haven’t seen the previous ad or for the Cute kid in traditional Indian avatar.

But this one is so stupid! Exaggeration to core to make the point. Was it that this woman could not take heat of spoon, or are the flames touching her? In either case, she just needed a Longer spoon right ?.

ZooZoo Ad’s IPL 4 – Gaming Super Week

As soon as we think of IPL and one of first things that we remember after the teams are the Vodafone Zoozoo’s who made their debut in IPL ‘09. How can we forget the Zoozoo-crocodile busy message ad ?? 

But they broke the tradition by airing Zoozoo 3G commercials in World Cup ‘11 itself. Now in one of the extended 3G ad’s we see ZooZookanth or 3G-man manage a bowling strike even when the targets are at the either ends of alley. Creative! How he cuts the bowl to hit it. But not too much. Doesn’t reach the level of first 3G ad which they started in World cup. Further Isn’t there is not much relation between unlimited game downloads on vodafone and this bowling game right ? Oh ! If the zoozoo says both are related to games ! Thank you! I didn’t think it was.

  Email Super Week: New ZooZoo Voda 3G Commercial

Vodafone just came back with ad of “REAL” ZooZoo standards. Unlimited Google Mail and Yahoo Mail with Vodafone ! Crazy stuff !! This time the Matrix Neo Zoo Zoo is found throwing mails every where :)  Even the initial mail throwing at different the places and people raised curiosity.

Definitely ‘unlimited’ creativity. Isn’t it ? This one definitely lives up to the standards of Vodafone 3g initial Ad’s. I like the Table tennis ad more though.

 Kingfisher Premium AD’s in IPL 2011  Season 4

  With the Caption “Divided by the teams and United by the king of good times”. This IPL ad definitely rocks \m/ . Starting with the captains Sangakkara, Warne, Vettori and Sehwag miss-singing the “Ollalalala le ee ooo .. Ooo laaalla  Ollal leee ooo” line, Rahul Dravid correcting them and the rest of team-mates joining the party.

It definitely gets us to the party mood. Special mention for J P duminy who looks crazy funny with the red horns. What say ?

 Coke “Brrrrrrrrrr”  IPL 4 Ad in 2011

When Coke unveiled their Brrrrr Campaign it had mixed reactions and it was definitely far from being hit. It was off course funny and got one other reaction from everyone.

But this ad with Iqbal Abdullah and Yusuf Pathan is not only stupid in how it’s shot. It also makes both KKR players look crazy ! Off course in the bad sense ! It was both ways ridiculous neither the offer was convey properly, not it was funny for us. Coke should buck up definitely. Or you guys actually liked this ?!

  IPL 4 Axe effect !!! Fine Leg Googly Advertisement

If you were watching IPL on the Youtube / Indiatimes live streaming, then you would have come across the Axe Hook Shot/ Deep mid wicket Ad, with HOT girls giving own, really spicy definition of cricketing terms. If you haven’t go watch it once for a terrible Axe ad. Terrible I call it but they are far from having a look of professional Ad.

But who cares ? I would watch hot girls even if miss the game. In fact any Axe man will do, Even though the ads in the end say “Never miss the game” :)
