Back to the jinxed home venue of DC Deccan Chargers in Hyderabad, will KKR, Kolkata Knight Riders ease past through DC ?
Firstly lets look at how they are place in points table:
DC with 6 points in 8 matches
Kolkata with 6 points in 8 matches
DC which has 6 matches to go will give the best performance today. Knowing how Darren Lehmann deals with such must win situations, Deccan are the team to look foreword to today. Their desperation will come from a fact that if they loose today they will be placed with 3 wins in 9 matches exactly like last year when Gilchrist was captaining them. A miracle happened but they know that miracles wont happen twice. Sangakkara and Lehman must be giving inspirational lectures to their team like how we see in motivational sports classics. They have to play above their best to win this. A win will get Kochi Tuskers one position down
KKR on the other hand is placed 3rd with 5 wins of 8 matches comfortably. This state for KKR is only one win less than the maximum number they have achieved in last 3 seasons. A win today will make them equal 6 wins and they will be more confident of reaching the final 4. Its not just about reaching the final 4 they will want to take the winning momentum all along to the qualifiers. Their run rate of .542 is the best thing they have achieved other than points. It should be noted that most of their recent wins were small totals and yet they have achieved this feat, which must boost their confidence in any difficult situation they might face. A win of KKR will move the Mumai Indians and Rajasthan Royals one place down due to their run rate.

For Kolkata there haven’t been much problems with ball with Balaji and other doing the job for even small totals.Yusuf Pathan’s rise in form will make it very easy for Kolkata to reach the last 4 or even if they wish to lift the cup. But Pathan has been far from his best.
On a junxied Hyderabad pitch which will be more or less flat. It will be mainly a fight of Kolkata’s exceptional bowling vs Lack lusted Deccan Batting. If they can hit the KKR bowlers cleanly Deccan bowlers will do the rest of the job for them.
Lets wait and watch the great game set up in unnatural venue which was never lucky for the host.
